Handmade newborn baby booties knitted in Helsinki, Finland. Booties have high ankles that can be folded for more comfort.

Rouheaknits (me, Pia) is creating a tiny batch of bonnets and booties for newborns for Birches & Wool using yarns I already have. Yarns that I have found beautiful over the past couple of years. Yarns that, for some reason or other, haven't found a life in new designs. Now this yarn and the memories it holds is woven into something precious.

These treasures are handmade which means the measurements may vary slightly. Please allow 1-2 weeks to prepare your handmade order.

Material
100% mulesing free merino wool

This merino wool comes from sheep bred in Patagonia, where mulesing is not practiced. The wool can be traced directly back to the farm it comes from.

Size
0-3m (Foot size 8-10cm)

Washing & Care
Natural fibres only need some airing to stay fresh and they keep the moisture off the skin - naturally.
If washing proves necessary, I recommend a gentle hand wash with lukewarm water (30C). Only use wool detergent.
Dry the bonnet on a flat surface (do not hang). Shape the booties while damp to avoid too much stretching.
